︎stories ︎exploring ongoinging practices in India
We have spent time at the National Institute of Design in India in February 2019. We were very lucky to be welcomed by both the Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar campuses. During our visit, we organised a workshop with the stundents at the Gandhinagar campus around the notion of ongoingness. Our aim was to understand ways in which people maintain lasting connections with people who are deceased on a personal level, but also on a collective basis. These new understandings are enabling us think beyond our Western framing to conceive of design to support ongoingness in new, broader ways. Our conversations are captured in the illustrations below - made by the brilliant Christine Kingsley (Huge Thank You!).
